Pirx is a fictional character created by Stanislaw Lem.
Physical
Pirx is the pilot of rockets. There are novels covering his internship in the academy. Later there are novels covering his ventures into space. He is also participating in a futurological congress.
He eventually dies in a novel, but is possibly ressurected to perish on an alien planet.
Career
At the end of his life he stood in the rank of Commander, being the head of a fleet of Rockets.
